Job summary

Hathorne Hill Rehabilitation is seeking an Activities Aide to plan and facilitate engaging recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities that promote connection and quality of life for our residents.

The ideal candidate has experience in activities, senior care, or healthcare settings; CNA experience is strongly preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is desired. Compassion, reliability, and strong communication are essential to support diverse resident needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in activities, senior care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or healthcare setting.
• CNA experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to engage seniors with varying interests and needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities for residents.
• Lead one-on-one, small-group, and large-group activities to encourage participation.
• Organize games, arts and crafts, events, and other resident programs.
• Provide meaningful individual engagement tailored to residents' interests and needs.
• Support residents with memory loss or physical limitations to ensure accessibility.
• Escort residents to activities and maintain safe, organized spaces.
• Maintain attendance records and distribute activity calendars and schedules.
