Hathorne Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an Activity Director to lead events and programs that enhance residents’ quality of life, seven days a week. The role requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and experience developing elder programs; CAD/CDP are preferred.

Strong leadership and staff oversight are essential to deliver engaging activities across large and small groups. You will coordinate family programs, produce newsletters, and work in a compassionate team

Formación

• Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and knowledge of aging and disability issues.
• Must be qualified by experience and training to develop programs appropriate for elders and disabled individuals.
• Management and Leadership Experience.
• Experience in multifaceted cognitive program in a long-term care setting is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Implements events and programs to enhance the experience and improve the resident quality of life.
• Evaluates programs to ensure quality fits the needs of all residents.
• Develops an innovative seven day a week activity program engaging for all residents.
• Monthly family-centered programming to promote participation and scheduling ease.
• Leads one-on-one, small group and large group programming according to schedule.
• Supports, encourages, and directs independent program pursuits in small groups.
• Supports residents' abilities by viewing care as an activity.
• Produces monthly newsletters and calendars and daily activity calendars on time.
• Hire, train and oversee resident care staff in all aspects of the program.
