Job summary

Variety is seeking a Senior Events Manager in Los Angeles to lead end-to-end production for its Live Media business. The role requires strong organizational skills, a design eye, and top-tier communication to manage multiple high-profile events with internal and external partners.

You will own budgets, timelines, vendor relations, and on-site execution, traveling as needed and collaborating across teams to deliver best-in-class experiences.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years in event marketing, production, or experiential marketing, preferably media/publishing.
• Ability to manage multiple high-touch events without quality loss.
• Strong budgeting, invoicing, and reconciliation skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
• Deep knowledge of event logistics: staging, A/V, venues, guest flow, run-of-show documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of multiple concurrent events with timelines, vendors, venues, and stakeholders.
• Maintain and update detailed project plans across events and deadlines.
• Manage budgets, track expenses, and handle invoicing and payments.
• Develop floorplans and layouts for activations and program materials.
• Oversee onsite events including venue management, load-in/strike, and A/V coordination.
• Maintain a database of venue and vendor contracts and details.
• Support the Event Department with various projects and tasks.
• Obtain permits and equipment orders, ensuring timely delivery and return of items.
