Job summary

TYG is seeking an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to lead live data center retrofit and infrastructure projects in Virginia. You will coordinate start to finish, manage schedules, safety, and close relationships with owners and subcontractors.

This role focuses on live data center environments, with strict operational constraints, planned shutdowns, and demanding timelines; you will ensure compliance and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Live Data Center / retrofit experience preferred; open to hospitals or industrial facilities.
• 4+ years of construction project management experience.
• Experience with General/Mechanical/Electrical contractors.
• Willingness to travel and/or relocate as required.
• Experience managing subcontractors and trade partners.
• Comfortable handling RFIs, submittals, procurement, change orders and project financials.
• Experience on large, technically complex construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Leading high value live data center projects from start through closeout.
• Coordinate work schedules around operational constraints, planned shutdowns and critical infrastructure needs.
• Manage subcontractor coordination and maintain strong relationships with owners and stakeholders.
• Oversee compliance, schedules and documentation.
• Conduct site visits and ensure a safe, efficient and collaborative project environment.
• Review projections, labor reports, safety documents and schedules monthly.
• Contribute to constructibility reviews, phasing strategies and pre-construction planning.
• Spot potential project risks early and develop plans to address them.
• Review and approve material/equipment invoices according to budget.
