Job summary

FOX News Media is seeking a Senior Systems Design Engineer to oversee planning, execution, and delivery of advanced broadcast infrastructure projects. You will lead complex initiatives from concept to completion, aligning with stakeholders and budgets.

The role requires experience in broadcast/A/V systems integration, PMP certification, and strong communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical audiences. A degree in engineering or CS is expected.

Qualifications

3+ years leading technical projects in broadcast, A/V or media tech
PMP or equivalent certification required
Strong understanding of routing, signal flow, networking and storage
Excellent verbal and written communication; can explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Proficient with project management tools (Smartsheet, AutoCAD, Jira)
Experience with IP-based broadcast solutions (SMPTE 2110, NDI)
Familiarity with cloud media workflows (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, or related field

Responsibilities

Lead the full lifecycle of broadcast systems installations, upgrades, and migrations (control rooms, studios, technical spaces)
Create and manage project scopes, goals, deliverables, schedules, and resource plans
Coordinate internal engineering teams, external vendors, contractors, and client stakeholders
Monitor budgets, expenditures, and risks to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
Maintain detailed project documentation: specifications, change orders, status reports, handover docs
Maintain working knowledge of modern broadcast technologies (IP video, SMPTE 2110, cloud)
