Job summary

Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell seeks a Senior Litigation Paralegal to manage high-stakes litigation from intake through appeal. The role requires delivering exceptional client service while handling complex caseloads in a Denver-based hybrid setting.

Candidates should have five or more years of experience handling all phases of complex litigation, strong organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to work with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or a combination of education, certifications, and demonstrable work experience. Paralegal certificate preferred.
• Minimum of five years of experience managing all phases of complex litigation, including going to trial.
• Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary case manager, overseeing litigation from intake through appeal, including tracking document productions and ensuring the case file is complete and trial-ready.
• Docketing and calculating deadlines, with experience in researching and interpreting court rules across various jurisdictions.
• Maintain meticulous and organized case files, adhering to firm systems, processes, and naming conventions.
• Prepare legal correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests, and other litigation documents with accuracy.
• Schedule and coordinate medical examinations, depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
• Assist in trial preparation by organizing exhibits, preparing witness materials, creating PowerPoint slides, and attending trials as necessary.
• Finalize case briefs with thorough legal and factual cite checking, Bluebook compliance, proofreading, and compiling exhibits.
