Job summary

Gibson Dunn & Crutcher in Los Angeles seeks a Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys across all litigation phases, including case management, filings, discovery, and trial preparation.

Reporting to the Associate Director and Manager of Paralegal Services, you will handle appellate records, calendar deadlines, document review, and coordination with vendors. Requires extensive experience and expertise in state and federal procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent paralegal experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience at an AmLaw 100 firm preferred.
• Proficient in California state and U.S. federal court procedures.
• Proficiency in LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Proficient in iManage.
• Experience with eDiscovery databases such as Relativity, Opus 2, and CaseMap.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.

Responsibilities

• Assists attorneys in all phases of litigation from case initiation through trial and appeals.
• Prepare appellate records and appendices, including reviewing trial court documents and transcripts.
• Assist with calendaring case deadlines.
• Draft court filings and preparations in Federal and State courts, including appellate courts.
• Assist with discovery, document collection, organization, review, and production.
• Proofread, cite-check and Bluebook court briefs and discovery documents.
• Assist with deposition, meetings, or interview preparations.
• Coordinate travel and other logistics for trial/arbitration preparations.
• Prepare case/briefing binders and indices; submit timekeeping reports.
• Coordinate with external vendors.
