Job summary

CGS is seeking a Senior Litigation Paralegal to join a fast-moving in-house government legal team. The role supports litigation portfolios, eDiscovery workflows, and attorney assistance.

We value experienced candidates with strong research skills and the ability to prepare complex legal documents under tight deadlines. Primary duties include document management, trial preparation, and federal court filings.

Qualifications

• Requires paralegal certificate, or JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, with at least one year of study completed.
• At least two years of litigation paralegal experience; trial experience is helpful.
• Experience with automated litigation support and solid knowledge of federal and state courts, legal research, and resources.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong working knowledge of LEXIS and Westlaw.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of technical legal documents in complex formats.
• Review incoming documents and assess case status for appropriate action.
• Independently compile trial notebooks, organize exhibits, and assemble jury instructions.
• Verify citations using Westlaw/LEXIS and ensure accuracy of legal references.
• Electronically file documents with the district court and manage case files in the CMS.
