The ideal candidate will have 3–7 years of insurance defense experience, strong knowledge of CA court rules, and proficiency with MS Office and legal case management software. LA-based, full-time position with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of litigation paralegal experience in insurance defense.
• Strong knowledge of California court rules and filing deadlines.
• Experience with California state and federal court e-filing.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
• Ability to work independently while supporting multiple attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to litigation attorneys.
• Prepare, revise, and finalize pleadings, discovery, motions, and correspondence.
• File documents in California state and federal courts, including e-filing.
• Maintain attorney calendars, schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings.
• Coordinate service of process and manage deadlines per court rules.
• Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors.
• Assist with trial preparation, including notebooks, exhibits, and witness materials.
• Enter attorney time and assist with billing as needed.
