Lennar is seeking a Sr. Legal Counsel to independently manage complex litigation, transactional, regulatory, or advisory matters, advising internal stakeholders on strategic risks and opportunities.

This role leads high‑impact work, drafts and negotiates advanced agreements, and mentors junior attorneys while contributing to practice improvements. The position collaborates with cross‑functional teams and outside counsel to ensure aligned, defensible outcomes and ongoing risk management across

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; licensed to practice law in the U.S.
• 5-10 years of legal experience with real estate, construction, corporate governance, compliance or commercial transactions.
• Experience as General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, or senior in‑house counsel at a publicly traded company.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to balance strategic and operational levels balancing legal risk with business growth.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage complex litigation, transactional, regulatory, or advisory matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex and high‑impact agreements and legal documents.
• Provide strategic, solution‑oriented legal advice to internal clients.
• Mentor and support junior attorneys and paralegals.
• Partner with cross‑functional partners and outside counsel as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of legal processes, templates, and knowledge assets.
