UL Solutions in Chicago, IL is seeking a Senior Counsel - Litigation and Disputes to join the Legal team, reporting to the Associate General Counsel. The role focuses on managing litigation matters across commercial, product and regulatory disputes, coordinating with CLO and leadership.

You will oversee discovery, coordinate with external counsel, advise on risk, supervise investigations, and help prepare staff for proceedings. JD and bar admission with 7+ years required; travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• JD degree and bar admission in good standing.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or corporate environment.
• Experience in product liability, commercial and contract disputes and securities litigation.
• Experience taking and defending depositions, preparing witnesses, and attending hearings or trials.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills; ability to act with sound judgment.

Responsabilités

• Manage and support all aspects of potential, threatened, and active litigation matters.
• Develop recommendations for defense or prosecution strategies.
• Prepare staff for legal proceedings and represent the company at trials, mediations and depositions.
• Advise on litigation risk and strategy; coordinate internal discovery and with outside counsel.
• Lead investigations and coordinate with CLO on policies and procedures related to disputes.
