Unknown Law Firm in Chicago is seeking an experienced commercial litigator to lead sophisticated disputes across state and federal courts. You will guide strategy, manage matters end-to-end and mentor junior lawyers within a collaborative platform.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of complex litigation experience, strong client development skills, and the ability to speak directly with business owners and senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10+ years of sophisticated litigation experience.
• Experience handling business disputes, contractual claims, ownership disputes, fiduciary matters or commercial real estate litigation.
• Meaningful first chair, courtroom or arbitration experience.
• A portable practice or a proven ability to originate and expand client relationships.
• Strong commercial judgment and the ability to communicate directly with business owners and senior decision makers.
• Illinois Bar admission or eligibility to become admitted.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex commercial disputes in state and federal courts.
• Develop litigation strategy and manage matters from inception through resolution.
• Handle trials, dispositive motions, depositions, mediations and arbitrations.
• Advise closely held businesses, executives, investors and other sophisticated clients.
• Manage and strengthen client relationships while developing new business.
• Supervise and mentor associates working across complex matters.
• Collaborate with attorneys across corporate, real estate, employment and private client practices.
