The role focuses on auto and general liability claims, including NY Labor Law and third‑party property damage, with a hybrid work model requiring two days in the office.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in commercial lines claims, a 4-year degree, and strong negotiation and written communication skills. JD or defense experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with policyholders, attorneys, and service providers to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Manage a portfolio of complex litigated claims with high exposure.
• Interpret policy language and advise on coverage positions with timely letters.
• Lead claim investigations, evaluations, and equitable settlements.
• Maintain accurate reserves in line with reserving philosophy and practices.
