Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed Arizona attorney with 3‑6 years of experience in complex civil litigation to join our growing team. While experience in probate, trust, and estate litigation is strongly preferred, we welcome candidates with strong backgrounds in commercial litigation, real estate, injury, and/or contract disputes who are interested in focusing their practice in this robust and growing area. This is a full‑time position with opportunities for meaningful client impact, professional growth, and flexible scheduling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent beneficiaries, personal representatives, trustees, and other parties in litigation under A.R.S. Titles 14, 36, and 46, including guardianships, conservatorships, will/trust contests, fiduciary misconduct, elder abuse, financial exploitation, and more.
  • Advise clients on legal risks, strategies, and next steps throughout the litigation process.
  • Communicate proactively with clients about case status, deadlines, and tasks.
  • Evaluate cases and develop litigation strategies tailored to each matter.
  • Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
  • Conduct discovery, including written requests, depositions, and subpoenas.
  • Perform legal research and apply findings to complex factual scenarios.
  • Represent clients in probate court (and other courts in related proceedings), including hearings, trials, and appeals.
  • Prepare cases thoroughly for mediation, trial, or settlement discussions.
  • Track and meet deadlines, court requirements, and internal workflows.
  • Actively collaborate with other attorneys and team members.
  • Take ownership of cases with increasing independence.
  • Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to firm‑wide collaboration.
  • Work directly with clients facing challenging, high‑stakes disputes.
Qualifications
  • 3‑6 years of experience in complex civil litigation (probate/trust/estate litigation preferred; commercial, real estate, or contract litigation experience acceptable).
  • Active license to practice law in Arizona.
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Strong research, organizational, and time‑management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research platforms.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and compassion for clients in difficult circumstances.
  • A desire to grow in a specialized, impactful area of law.
  • Leadership skills and desire to mentor junior attorneys.
Why Berk Law Group?
  • Immediate responsibility with meaningful casework and client contact.
  • High‑quality litigation experience typically reserved for larger firms.
  • Reputation and credibility that enhance your professional standing.
  • Collaborative environment where your contributions are valued.
Benefits

  • Bonus structure based on originations, productivity, profitability, and holistic firm contributions.
  • 401(k) with employer match and profit sharing.
  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • Firm credit card for approved business expenses (fuel, gym membership, etc.).
  • Paid bar dues and CLE support.
  • Generous PTO and parental leave.
  • Flexible scheduling and some remote work potential.
  • Strong training, mentorship, and support for professional development.
How To Apply
