The Seattle-based law firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to join its team. The role offers flexible remote work with occasional in-person hearings.

The ideal candidate holds a JD, WA license (Oregon/Idaho a plus) and at least five years of litigation experience, with knowledge of foreclosure, real estate, and creditor's rights. Strong communication and billing discipline are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in Washington; additional license in Oregon or Idaho is a plus.
• Five years of litigation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of foreclosure, real estate, secured transactions, evictions, and creditor's rights preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
• Maintain an annual billing requirement of 1,920 hours.
• Must reside in Washington or one of the firm's other footprint states.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation and eviction cases from inception to completion, including trial.
• Handle pre-litigation cases and clear title to real property.
• Develop and seek approval for budgets and legal strategy.
• Research and prepare legal analysis on claims, risk, exposure, and strategies.
• Draft and argue pleadings and motions.
• Conduct all aspects of discovery.
• Develop and implement case strategy with supervising partner and client.
• Communicate directly with clients.
• Attend court hearings, mediation, and settlement conferences.
• Assist with bankruptcy motions, hearings, and adversary proceedings as needed.
