Job summary

Debevoise & Plimpton LLP is seeking a Legal AI Engineer, Litigation, within the Information Services Department, to serve as a senior advisor on AI in litigation practice. You will work with partners and clients to understand needs and translate AI concepts into practical guidance.

The role requires a J.D. and at least three years in a law firm or legal innovation context, along with strong communication, presentation, and governance skills, to advance responsible AI adoption in client matters.

Qualifications

• J.D. required with at least three years in law firm practice, legal innovation, knowledge management, or related roles.
• Proven ability to lead presentations, meetings, trainings, and substantive client discussions.

Responsibilities

• Lead client-facing AI discussions and advisory sessions.
• Prepare and lead client presentations, trainings, and CLE programs on AI concepts, capabilities, risks, and use cases.
• Explain Firm AI capabilities, governance, and experience to lawyers and clients.
• Advise on practical AI applications within litigation workflows and matter teams.
• Collaborate with Partners, Counsel, and Associates to identify AI opportunities and implement solutions.
• Develop litigation-specific AI guidance, demos, playbooks, and training materials.
• Support business development with AI content and client-facing materials.
