Job summary
Debevoise & Plimpton LLP seeks a Legal AI Engineer, Corporate, to lead AI strategy and advise lawyers and clients on practical AI applications in corporate matters. The role requires strong communication, executive presentation, and cross-functional collaboration with the Information Services Department.
The engineer will translate legal needs into technical requirements, guide governance and responsible use of AI, and support client engagements with demonstrations, training, and strategic AI
Qualifications
- Experience advising lawyers or clients on AI, legal technology, or legal operations.
- Strong knowledge of generative AI, LLMs, prompt design, and AI workflows in legal practice.
- Ability to translate legal needs into functional requirements for technical teams.
- Proven track record leading multi-stakeholder initiatives from opportunity to implementation.
Responsibilities
- Lead client-facing AI discussions and present AI capabilities, governance, and use cases to lawyers, clients, and Firm leadership.
- Advise corporate clients on practical AI application within legal workflows, including transaction-related contexts.
- Collaborate with Corporate Department partners to identify AI opportunities in matters and develop actionable adoption plans.
- Develop AI guidance materials, demos, and training tailored to lawyers and client teams.
