Qualifications

• Total claims experience: 6-7 years with 2-4 years in senior casualty or equivalent complex casualty/litigation.
• At least 1 year of litigation experience.
• Ability to handle minor to complex litigated claims.
• Strong math, organizational and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze claims and create discovery plans for 1st and 3rd party cases including depositions and IMEs.
• Direct defense counsel and manage settlement authority up to $50,000.
• Review liability, damages, coverage and risk to determine independent settlement authority.
• Collaborate with defense counsel to develop negotiation strategy and participate in mediations.
• Authorize and monitor budgets for outside counsel and review defense expenses.
• Prepare and present litigated-case recommendations to IELT level management.
