Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group (CSAA IG) is seeking a Sr. Litigation Specialist to manage litigated claims remotely across the United States. The role emphasizes trial through resolution, with authority to settle and negotiate while controlling defense costs.

You will analyze complex cases, collaborate with defense counsel, and present recommendations to executive levels. A track record in casualty litigation and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 6-7 years of claims experience with 2-4 years in Senior Casualty or equivalent complex litigation.
• 1 year of Litigation experience
• Ability to handle minor to complex litigated claims
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

Responsibilities

• Analyze claims by examining loss facts and factors; develop discovery plans and arrange depositions, IMEs, and experts.
• Coordinate with defense counsel and provide resolution direction and settlement authority.
• Review liability, damages, coverage and risk to determine settlement authority up to $50,000.
• Collaborate with defense counsel on negotiation strategy; represent the organization in mediations and conferences.
• Manage outside counsel budgets and review defense expenses with tracking tools.
• Prepare recommendations for litigated cases for executive review.
