- Define, own, and control the liquid subsystem technical baseline
- Perform technical work and provide high-caliber technical leadership
- Manage internal and external procurements and hardware dependencies required for subsystem deliveries
- Lead and perform technical trades on cryogenic systems meeting vehicle and customer needs
- Own hardware drawing release
- Develop manufacturing plans and provide manufacturing support
- Integrate hardware onto the vehicle
- Lead internal and external cryogenic technology development meetings
- Own cryogenic systems from cradle to grave
- Deliver hardware to the vehicle across definition, interfaces, conceptual design, detailed design, component development, assembly, verification, and operation
- Work with internal and external suppliers to design, build, test, and analyze components for lunar missions
Requirements
- B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related technical subject area
- 8+ years of experience in cryogenic fluids and mechanical systems/components
- Experience developing, integrating, and certifying aerospace systems for flight
- Experience with fluid/gas components, including solenoid valves, directional valves, manifolds, regulators, pressure vessels, and instrumentation
- Experience with Cryogenic Fluid Management techniques and technologies
- Experience leading small teams and subcontractor teams
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident/current Green Card holder, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee
- Interviews include a technical assessment
- Occasional travel up to 25% of the time
- Desired: M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related technical subject area
