Job summary

TriluxTech is seeking a Sr. System Engineer - Linux to manage and automate enterprise Linux/Unix platforms across VMware-based on‑prem and hybrid environments.

The role ensures high availability, security compliance, and operational stability for mission critical banking applications, acting as an L2/L3 resource across IT Infrastructure teams. The candidate will lead patching, system hardening, and automation efforts, participate in major incidents, and drive changes via ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux administration experience.
• Strong Puppet configuration management experience.
• Hands-on VMware (vSphere/ESXi/vCenter) experience.
• Production support and incident management experience.
• Scripting skills in Bash and Python.
• Networking (TCP/IP, DNS) and storage knowledge.
• Experience with ITSM processes (incident/change management).

Responsibilities

• Manage Linux/Unix systems (build, patching, performance tuning).
• Ensure system stability, security hardening, and uptime.
• Support application teams with OS and middleware dependencies.
• Participate in Major Incident (P1/P2) management and RCA.
• Drive automation using Bash/Python to reduce manual recovery.
• Develop and maintain Puppet modules/manifests.
• Administer VMware infrastructure (vSphere/ESXi/vCenter).
• Support capacity planning, performance tuning, and DR (Zerto).
• Ensure SOX/FFIEC compliance and runbook documentation.
