J&T Business Consulting seeks a Systems Engineer 2 to deliver comprehensive Linux systems administration in a mission-critical environment in Columbia, United States. The role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph and involves 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM core hours with 24/7 on-call coverage and a shift differential.

The candidate will manage Linux systems, monitor pipelines and messaging, troubleshoot defects, ensure uptime, and collaborate across teams with thorough documentation and handoffs.

Qualifications

• Solid command-line proficiency across Linux environments, system utilities, and shell navigation.
• Five or more years of hands-on Linux systems administration experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• System Administration: Execute routine and advanced Linux OS administration, configuration, maintenance, and patching using command-line interfaces.
• Pipeline & Messaging Management: Oversee, monitor, and maintain application, data, and messaging pipeline performance.
• Troubleshooting & Remediation: Independently isolate, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure and operating system defects, bottlenecks, and anomalies.
• Operational Readiness: Ensure mission system uptime, adhere to standard operational procedures, and respond swiftly to automated system alerts.
• Collaboration & Handoffs: Maintain clear operational documentation, update tracking systems, and coordinate with team members during handoffs.
