Job summary

Closure Technologies is seeking a senior Linux systems engineer with TS/SCI clearance and polygraph to manage and harden Linux server environments. The role involves planning, testing, installing, and maintaining OS versions, performing patch management, and collaborating with multiple teams across the organization.

The candidate will design environments, manage lifecycles, and ensure secure, scalable infrastructure while documenting all configurations and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related discipline, OR 10 years of related technical experience may be substituted for education.
• 10+ years configuring and maintaining Linux servers (implied by responsibilities)
• Experience with domain accounts management, LDAP, and Active Directory

Responsibilities

• Plan, test, install, integrate, and maintain OS versions
• Build and harden Linux servers; establish configuration baselines
• Apply security patches and maintain patch management plans
• Develop test plans and procedures
• Replace server hardware components when needed
• Test and integrate software/hardware
• Manage OS lifecycles
• Create, test, and operate environments
• Design interfaces to external systems
• Troubleshoot OS problems and collaborate across teams
• Provide technical support for integration into the OS
• Update documentation on OS configurations and responsibilities
