Job summary
Verkada is seeking a seasoned Systems level Linux engineer to help build our next-generation command connector product that turns legacy cameras into a cloud-native, AI-searchable node. The role manages dozens of concurrent video streams and translates varied camera protocols into a single unified pipeline for edge- CV model inference.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Linux system programming experience and strong low-level software skills, with on-site work required.
Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science or similar degree.
- 5+ years Linux system programming (C/C++/Rust/Go).
- Experience in embedded or low-level system software.
- Strong OS and computer architecture knowledge.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Willing to work onsite five days a week.
Responsibilities
- Reading kernel oops/panic traces.
- Debugging GPU driver issues.
- Working with boot/security subsystems (secure boot, LUKS).
- Networking internals (routing, firewalling, link-layer).
- RAID array management (mdadm, disk failure/rebuild).
