Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a seasoned engineer to deploy and administer Linux environments, automate builds, and ensure secure configurations. The role includes installation, fault isolation, backups, and user support across tactical and enterprise settings.

Required are 5+ years in deployment/administration, scripting in Python/Ansible, and experience with SCM tools. Travel and U.S. citizenship are expected for handling sensitive workloads.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or STEM field.
• 5+ years of related experience with Linux deployment/administration (Red Hat preferred).
• Systems engineering in tactical environments, network operations, and security auditing.
• Experience with coding/scripting/automation (Python, Ansible, bash).
• Configuration management using Git, ClearCase, and ClearQuest.
• CompTIA Security+ or ability to obtain; U.S. citizenship; ability to obtain SECRET clearance.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Hardware and software installation / de-installation (COTS and custom software).
• Configuration management, build automation and release engineering.
• Fault detection and fault isolation.
• Volume backups, system monitoring and cleanup.
• User support and knowledge of internal/external network interfaces.
