Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to support mission-critical environments in the Intelligence sector. You will manage RHEL-based systems, implement security hardening, and drive automation using Ansible, Bash, and Python.

The role requires strong troubleshooting and collaboration across SAs, DBAs, SWEs, SEs, testers, and operations staff. The position offers wide-ranging benefits and a path to contribute to national security programs with rigorous change-control processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelorachelors degree in a technical discipline, plus extensive related experience.
• Hands-on Linux systems administration across RHEL or equivalent.
• Automation/configuration management using Ansible, Bash and/or Python.
• Strong Linux troubleshooting, networking fundamentals, and security hardening.

Responsibilities

• Administer, secure, monitor, and troubleshoot RHEL/Linux systems across dev/test/prod environments.
• Lead root-cause analysis across OS, apps, storage, auth, performance, and network connectivity.
• Manage lifecycle: accounts, permissions, patching, packaging, services, upgrades.
• Develop and maintain automation/config Mgmt using Ansible, Bash, Python.
• Support on-call rotations and document runbooks and configurations.
