Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Cyber Systems Security Engineer to bridge IT administration and cybersecurity compliance. You will deploy, harden, automate, and maintain a secure operating environment across Linux and Windows systems, leveraging Bash, PowerShell, and Ansible.

Expect collaboration with cross-functional teams to uphold standards and program goals in a defense context. Responsibilities include patch cycles, STIG compliance, basic networking, and VM management with VMware ESXi,

Qualifications

• 9+ years of IT experience, with a mix of systems administration, networking and cybersecurity engineering
• Strong Linux and Windows operational experience
• Demonstrated scripting/automation using Bash, PowerShell, and Ansible
• Familiarity with virtualization and containerization technologies
• CompTIA Security+ or DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II or equivalent certification

Responsibilities

• Deploy and harden Windows and Linux systems across environments
• Execute patch management and support ATO processes
• Configure basic LAN/WAN settings and manage virtualized infrastructure
• Develop automated scripts to streamline tasks (patch deployment, log collection)
• Collaborate with cross-functional Lockheed Martin teams to meet security standards and program goals
