Job summary

Unisys is seeking an experienced Linux Administrator to provide ongoing systems administration across multiple locations in the United States. The role focuses on installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational improvements, with a lead role in shaping Linux systems strategy.

Candidates should have a BA/BS with 8+ years, or equivalent, Master’s preferred, deep Linux expertise (Red Hat, KVM, AIX), VMware, Unix familiarity, and strong DR/HA knowledge in cloud environments (OCI, Azure).

Qualifications

BA/BS degree and 8+ years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Master’s degree preferred.
Expert-level Linux systems administration and enterprise infrastructure design.
Experience with Red Hat Linux, including KVM and clustering.
Experience with AIX.
Familiarity with Unix.
Familiarity with VMware.
Required knowledge of disaster recovery (DR) and high-availability (HA) principles, including in cloud environments — Oracle OCI and Microsoft Azure.
U.S. Citizenship and U.S. residency required.

Responsibilities

Provides infrastructure leadership for hardware and software systems support.
Advises and consults company-wide on resolution of unique, complex, or business-critical issues.
Leads Systems Administration across the company and guides less experienced team members.
Implements automation and process intelligence tools to support data-driven decisions and AI integration.
Shapes Linux systems strategy across the company.
