Job summary
Unisys Corporation seeks a Principal Linux Systems Support to provide ongoing Linux systems administration, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting across multiple locations. The role leads design and strategy for highly available Linux and Unix infrastructure and collaborates on disaster recovery planning.
You will drive system design, mentor team members, and coordinate with business units to ensure availability, reliability, and recovery objectives in on‑prem and cloud
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Expert-level Linux systems administration and enterprise infrastructure design.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and advise across the organization on complex issues.
- Experience with Red Hat Linux, including KVM and clustering.
- Experience with AIX and Unix.
- Familiarity with VMware.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery and high availability in cloud environments (Oracle OCI and Microsoft Azure).
Responsibilities
- Lead Systems Administration across the account and guide less experienced team members.
- Design high-availability Linux solutions and migration roadmaps.
- Develop DR strategies and ensure recovery objectives are met.
- Coordinate with account teams for knowledge transfer and transition planning.
