Zone 5 Technologies is seeking a skilled System Administrator in San Luis Obispo, CA. The role focuses on maintaining Linux and Windows servers, onsite IT support, and coordinating with the Information Assurance team to ensure compliance in a growing unmanned aircraft tech environment.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years in system administration, Linux (Ubuntu) experience, and AWS proficiency, with strong communication and vendor-management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 4 years of System Administrator experience.
• Linux administration with Ubuntu servers/workstations (2+ years).
• AWS cloud experience and/or certifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interface with external vendors, customers, and management.
• Knowledge of Risk Management Framework for Windows and Linux systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain both Linux and Windows servers and workstations.
• Embrace new technologies to meet evolving requirements in a growing company.
• Provide onsite IT support and escalation from desktop support team.
• Coordinate with the Information Assurance team to meet compliance.
• Maintain a robust virtual and physical environment.
