Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator to manage classified Linux infrastructure at our Goleta site. The role requires a DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship, with hands-on provisioning, installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of secure systems.

The engineer will implement an enterprise Linux environment, perform security hardening, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including applications, security, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a university degree or equivalent experience.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience with RHEL, Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, Backup Exec, NetBackup, and Windows.
• Storage experience with HPE MSA and NetApp.
• Experience with Ivanti, Symantec, Splunk, Tenable Nessus.

Responsibilities

• Manage software and hardware for Linux servers.
• Administer storage and backups.
• Ensure cross-platform authentication and access management.
• Monitor and harden security posture.
• Automate via scripting.
