Job summary

Amatriot Group, LLC is seeking a Linux System Administrator to support DoD/IC software deployments and enterprise Linux environments. You will install, configure, and secure Linux servers across fast-paced teams with a focus on reliability and performance.

Based in Beavercreek, Ohio, this short-term role ends December 2026. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Linux administration experience, strong automation skills (Ansible), and familiarity with Red Hat, Ubuntu, and security hardening.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience administering enterprise Linux environments.
• Experience with automation using Ansible or similar tools.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere.
• Knowledge of SSH, SCP, TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, and firewall concepts.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and support Linux clients and servers in physical and virtual environments, ensuring high availability and security.
• Manage Linux operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, and other enterprise distributions.
• Perform OS upgrades, patch management, and security hardening.
• Apply security updates and patches to Linux operating systems.
• Manage user access integrated with Active Directory, LDAP, or other identity management solutions.
