Job summary

Agile Resources, Inc. seeks a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to support a mission-critical federal program in Atlanta. You will design, implement, and optimize enterprise Linux infrastructure with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8/9, security hardening, and compliance with DISA STIGs.

You will automate administration with Bash, Python, and Ansible, manage Docker/Mirantis, AWS, GitLab CI/CD, and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise Linux/UNIX administration.
• RHCSA, RHCE, or RHCA certification.
• Expert knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8/9).
• Strong scripting experience with Bash, Python, Perl, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Ansible and Red Hat Satellite.
• Experience with AWS, GitLab, and Mirantis Container Runtime (Docker).
• Strong networking knowledge including DNS, TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, Firewalld, IPTables, and SELinux.
• Experience implementing Linux security hardening and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, administer, and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8/9) server environments.
• Perform advanced Linux administration and O&M from the command line.
• Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, Perl, or JavaScript.
• Automate system configuration and lifecycle management using Ansible and Red Hat Satellite.
• Manage enterprise package deployment across distributed Linux environments.
• Configure and administer Firewalld, NFTables, IPTables, SELinux, DNS, SMTP, and Postfix.
• Support Linux clustering, NFS, PXE boot environments, and enterprise storage.
• Deploy and maintain Mirantis Container Runtime (Docker) environments.
• Support AWS-hosted Linux infrastructure and GitLab-based CI/CD workflows.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and system performance issues.
• Produce technical documentation and diagrams; mentor junior engineers.
