Job summary

The Amatriot Group seeks a Senior Systems Administrator to support the National Programs Intelligence Systems & Application Operating Unit. The role focuses on Linux system administration in a classified environment, with responsibilities for installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux servers, virtual servers, and related software in multiple locations within the National Capital Region.

The ideal candidate will perform O&M tasks, monitor performance, and assist in troubleshooting

Qualifications

BA/BS degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Proven experience in system administration in Linux and UNIX in classified environments.
DoD 8570 certifications or equivalent security credentials preferred.
Experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage both virtual and physical servers for enterprise, regional, and local systems.
Install, configure, document, maintain, and support server environments hosting mission-critical applications and infrastructure services.
Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers, virtual servers, and application software upgrades; provide Windows admin support as needed.
Perform Operations and Maintenance tasks, monitor performance, patching, and customer support.
Collaborate with project teams, SMEs, end users, and engineers to ensure applications remain operational.
