Job summary

KBR is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator with an emphasis on automation to join our National Security Solutions team in the United States. You will design, deploy, and maintain Linux-centric server architectures, streamline configuration with Ansible, and ensure RMF and DISA STIG compliance across distributed test networks.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, a Technical Bachelor’s degree, and an active Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• 10+ years in a Systems Administrator or Systems Engineering role.
• Technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Deep Linux knowledge (RHEL 7/8/9), storage and Bash scripting.
• Hands-on Ansible playbooks, inventories, automation workflows.
• Experience with VMware vSphere/vCenter and container orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain enterprise Linux distributions and core services.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and automation for provisioning and hardening.
• Support containerized environments with Docker/Podman/Kubernetes.
• Automate DISA STIG implementation and RMF compliance, remediate findings.
• Manage software repositories and image baselines with Satellite/Foreman.
• Administer virtualization, storage, and networking in a heterogeneous environment.
• Document SOPs and diagrams for team knowledge transfer.
