Job summary

KBR is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator with a focus on automation to join the National Security Solutions team. The role supports TRMC, JMETC, and SDREN/DREN networks, delivering Linux-centric server architectures and automation across complex test ranges.

Responsibilities include building reusable Ansible playbooks, hardening systems, and coordinating with VMware and container platforms. A Top Secret clearance and 10+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• 10+ years in a Systems Administrator/Systems Engineering role.
• Technical Bachelor’s degree (relevant experience acceptable).
• Deep knowledge of Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9), LVM, systemd, firewalld, SELinux, Bash.
• Hands-on Ansible playbooks, inventories, and automation workflows.
• Experience with virtualization platforms, preferably VMware vSphere/vCenter.
• Willing to travel up to 20% and lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, optimize, and maintain enterprise Linux distributions (RHEL/Rocky/CentOS).
• Develop, test, and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and collections for provisioning and hardening.
• Support containerized workloads with Docker, Podman, Kubernetes.
• Automate DISA STIGs compliance and RMF processes across networks.
• Manage software repositories and image baselines with Red Hat Satellite/Foreman.
• Administer VMware virtualization and related storage/networking in hybrid environment.
• Ensure TRMC cybersecurity compliance and centralized logging.
• Document SOPs, playbooks, and diagrams for team knowledge transfer.
