Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to join the Infrastructure Support team supporting CAEIO program. You will manage DOS server and storage infrastructure, automate builds, and collaborate with security teams on mitigations.

The role is fully remote with occasional onsite in Washington, DC area; typical hours are M-F 7:00 AM–4:00 PM ET with potential for surge work.

Qualifications

• Advanced Linux administration experience in large, multi-site environments.
• Strong knowledge of RHEL/Oracle Linux and automation tooling.
• Ability to quickly troubleshoot and mitigate issues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Linux administration using AAP, Satellite, and Puppet for builds, patches, and hardening.
• Provide T3 support for Red Hat and Oracle Linux environments.
• Develop and maintain technical and user documentation.
• Provide off-hours support and on-call rotation.
• Train junior team members on patching and O&M tasks.
• Ensure compliance with certification and accreditation requirements.
• Create and maintain SOPs.
