Job summary

Diverse Computing, Inc. (DCI) is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to join our team. This full-time role can be performed remotely with hybrid options for Tallahassee, FL residents, and compensation driven by experience.

You will manage enterprise RHEL infrastructure, automate deployments with Ansible and Bash, and mentor junior admins while maintaining security and uptime. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in a tech field, RHCSA (preferred), 5+ years of Linux administration, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/IT or related field.
• RHCSA certification on RHEL 8 or newer (preferred).
• 5+ years Linux administration experience; 3+ years on RHEL/CentOS (preferred).
• Experience with Ansible for configuration management and deployment automation.
• Proficiency with firewall, storage, and database administration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary SME for RHEL/CentOS Linux systems administration across enterprise environments.
• Manage system infrastructure including databases, firewalls, storage systems, and other software and hardware.
• Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues that may arise.
• Monitor systems daily and respond to security breaches, downtime, or performance issues.
• Lead automation efforts for deployments and configuration management on Linux systems using Ansible and Bash.
• Mentor junior administrators and assist with tier-2 and tier-3 support.
• Monitor deployments and propose improvements for reliability and availability.
• Design security controls through access management, backups, and firewalls.
