Job summary

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required
• High School Diploma/GED + 10 years experience (or AA/AS +4, BA +2, MS +6)
• Security clearance eligibility
• RHEL administration expertise
• Bash and other scripting languages (Python, Perl)
• System monitoring and performance tuning
• Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing)
• Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• On-site work requirement
• RHCSA/RHCE + Security+ for DoD 8140
• Willingness for after-hours/weekend support
• Professionalism and integrity

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain RHEL servers and workstations
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and performance bottlenecks
• Implement and manage security measures and access controls
• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures
• Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues
• Automate admin tasks with Bash, Python, or Perl
• Provide end-user technical support
• Stay current with RHEL updates and patches
• Assist with new technologies and upgrades
• Collaborate with IT teams and management
• Produce capacity planning reports
• Work with cross-functional teams to achieve IPT mission
• Engage in R&D to improve environment and processes
