Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Windows Systems Administrator to join the CAEIO program supporting DOS consular applications globally. The role is fully remote with DMV residency required for occasional on-site meetings in Sterling, VA or Washington, DC.

Key tasks include supporting Microsoft environments, upgrading systems, and driving tech initiatives. Candidates should have a SECRET clearance, 10+ years of Windows Server experience, and strong AD skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with extensive IT experience.
• U.S. citizenship and an active SECRET security clearance.
• 10+ years of Windows Server administration and troubleshooting (2016–2025).
• 7+ years managing Microsoft Active Directory (GPOs, DNS, DCs).
• 3+ years automating tasks with scripting (PowerShell/VBScript).
• Experience with configuration management and deployment processes.
• Knowledge of government IT security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Support client Microsoft environments under guidance of Windows Support Team lead.
• Monitor performance, track issues, and perform upgrades with change control approvals.
• Participate in long‑ and short‑range planning and new tech initiatives.
• Collaborate in a multi‑team environment to troubleshoot critical incidents.
• Maintain system documentation and service records.
