Job summary

Dobbs Defense Solutions, LLC seeks a Linux System Administrator to support a DoD lab at Fort Meade. You will install, secure, and maintain RHEL systems, manage YUM repositories, apply DISA STIGs, and run vulnerability scans. The role also involves integrating ACAS/Nessus findings, supporting DNS/IPv6, and coordinating with Windows AD in a mixed environment.

On-site work requiring an Active Secret clearance and the ability to operate on SIPR networks while upholding DoD security requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Linux administration experience in enterprise environments.
• Experience with RHEL, VMware 6.7, DNS, IPv6, and Windows/AD.
• Active certification such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, or CASP, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, secure, and troubleshoot RHEL systems.
• Manage YUM servers and internal repositories.
• Apply DISA STIGs, run SCAP scans, and remediate findings.
• Conduct ACAS/Nessus scans and support patching.
• Provide DNS and IPv6 configuration support.
• Perform VMware 6.7 administration.
• Coordinate with Windows AD and domain services.
• Operate systems on SIPR and other classified networks per DoD security requirements.
