Job summary

RapidFort, Inc. is seeking a Senior OS Engineer to design, build, and maintain secure Linux-based operating system components powering hardened container images and cloud-native workloads.

You will remediate CVEs across major Linux distributions, patch and backport fixes, and automate secure build pipelines to deliver production-grade container images at scale. This hands-on role spans Linux internals, packaging, and supply chain security.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in Linux systems engineering or related field.
• Strong hands-on patching, rebuilding, and OS packaging experience.
• Deep understanding of Linux internals and distributions (Debian, RHEL, Ubuntu, Alpine).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end CVE remediation across Linux OS packages and libraries.
• Build and maintain secure, minimal container images.
• Generate and maintain SBOMs and strengthen software supply chain security.
• Design scalable automation pipelines for OS patching and image generation.
• Integrate CVE scanning and remediation into CI/CD workflows.
