Job summary

RapidFort, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer – Build Platform to architect and scale our critical build systems. You will own the long‑term strategy for the platform that produces hardened container images for secure software delivery.

You’ll work at the intersection of Linux internals, distributed systems, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure, shaping RapidFort’s engineering platform and mentoring senior engineers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering or platform engineering experience.
• Demonstrated architecture of large-scale build platforms or distributed infrastructure.
• U.S. Citizenship required per federal customer requirements.
• Deep knowledge of Linux and container ecosystems.
• Strong experience with production Kubernetes and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and long-term strategy for RapidFort’s Build Platform.
• Design and operate highly scalable distributed build systems for thousands of images.
• Build automated image creation, validation, signing, publishing, and lifecycle tooling.
• Improve build performance, scalability, reproducibility, and reliability.
• Develop internal tooling and platform services using Python and Bash.
• Mentor senior engineers and raise technical bar across teams.
