Job summary

Millennium's IT team seeks a skilled Linux Platform Engineer to join a global infrastructure effort. You will manage Linux environments, Kubernetes deployments, and CI/CD pipelines to support internal platform services.

The role emphasizes incident response, fleet-scale administration of RHEL, automation with Chef, Ansible, and Jenkins, and collaboration across security and networking teams to maintain reliable operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT infrastructure experience focused on Linux environments; financial services experience is preferred.
• Deep expertise in enterprise Linux, including RHEL administration at fleet scale.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container technologies, including deployments, Helm, and OCI image builds.
• Experience troubleshooting enterprise server hardware, including HPE and Dell platforms, iLO or iDRAC, and hardware-log analysis.
• Strong incident-management discipline in an ITSM environment, including ServiceNow, and experience with configuration management and CI/CD tools such as Chef, Ansible, and Jenkins.
• Proficiency in Bash and/or Python, with broad knowledge of networking, DNS, NTP/PTP, and storage infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of LLMs and AI agents, including prompt and tool design, Model Context Protocol, agent evaluation, autonomous-system failure modes, and automation approval boundaries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience; Go proficiency and RHCSA, RHCE, or CKA certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

• Triage, diagnose, and resolve Linux incidents, driving follow-up to prevent recurrence.
• Troubleshoot physical servers (HPE/Dell) using out-of-band tools and logs.
• Operate Kubernetes clusters including deployments, Helm, image builds, and capacity.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for OS and container images.
• Administer fleet RHEL: builds, patching, lifecycle, and immutable image pipelines (Chef, Ansible).
• Manage Linux authentication across AD, Kerberos, and OAuth.
• Use Prometheus, OpenSearch and observability tools to preempt issues.
• Guide AI agents, extend workflows in Go and Python, and support Linux on-call rotation.
