Job summary

Referment is seeking a Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer for its Platform Engineering team. This is a hands-on role spanning Linux platforms, networks, security controls, and core services across data centres, cloud environments, and international offices.

You will design, implement, and operate deep kernel-level infrastructure, Kubernetes, GitOps, and automation, working with a global engineering team to scale a massive production platform.

Qualifications

• At least ten years of infrastructure engineering experience with focus on engineering and architecture.
• Deep Linux engineering and kernel-level expertise with command-line focus.
• Experience building platform tools or contributing to open-source projects (Python, Rust, Go).
• Extensive experience with automation, Kubernetes, and GitOps workflows.
• Strong host- and network-level troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in massive-scale, high-performance environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate and maintain OS and infrastructure services with a focus on deep Linux engineering.
• Contribute to global networks, core network services and security across on-premises and cloud.
• Improve the security framework of a massive-scale production platform with tens of thousands of nodes.
• Implement modern platform engineering practices, including Kubernetes, GitOps, and advanced automation.
• Diagnose complex host and network issues using tracing and diagnostic tools.
• Collaborate with a global engineering team and partner departments.
