Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Senior Linux Platform Engineer in Burlington, NJ for a hybrid role. You will design and maintain enterprise Linux standards (RHEL/SUSE), build automation, and lead reliability and security initiatives across on‑premises and cloud environments.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with offshore teams, and drive projects from planning through validation in a 24x7 production setting.

Qualifications

10+ years of hands-on Linux engineering in enterprise production environments.
Strong experience with RHEL and SUSE in mission-critical environments.
Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Bash, Python, Git, and CI/CD tooling.
Strong understanding of networking, storage, security, and performance in large-scale systems.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain enterprise Linux platform standards for RHEL and SUSE.
Build and maintain automation using Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Python, Git, and CI/CD tooling.
Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and permanent remediation for high-impact issues.
Define monitoring, alerting, dashboards, logging, and health checks with Datadog, Dynatrace, Nagios, or SolarWinds.
