Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the Linux platform automation, provisioning, and security for our global AI compute infrastructure. You will support Linux in physical, virtual, and cloud environments, building scalable, secure systems and pipelines to accelerate agentic services.

You should have 8+ years of Linux experience, deep scripting and automation skills (Chef/Ansible), and hands-on cloud experience (AWS or Azure).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in Linux systems, infrastructure, platform, site reliability, or cloud engineering.
• Deep hands-on experience administering, securing, and optimizing Linux environments.
• Proven cloud architecture and engineering experience in AWS or Azure.
• Strong shell scripting and automation skills, including a configuration management platform such as Chef or Ansible.
• Experience using Terraform to provision infrastructure.
• Experience with AI-native development and coding agents to multiply developer productivity.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Leading Linux and cloud infrastructure initiatives, including architecture, provisioning, configuration, deployment, and ongoing operations.
• Building automation using shell scripting, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Developing and maintaining automated workflows for Linux provisioning, patching, configuration, security hardening, and lifecycle management.
• Deploying and operating cloud infrastructure and integrating cloud services with on-premises environments.
• Collaborating with engineering teams across NVIDIA to deliver infrastructure capabilities that support meaningful business outcomes.
• Continuously improving the reliability, security, maintainability, and operational standards of our platform.
