Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation is seeking a Linux Systems Engineer to join its Infrastructure Engineering team, focusing on high-performance EDA compute farms. You will design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade Linux environments across RPM-based distros, optimize for throughput, and drive automation using Ansible, Terraform, and related tools.

You will develop robust tooling in Python, Bash, or Go, manage LDAP/SSSD and NFS/Autofs storage, and build scalable container infrastructure from scratch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of deep Linux systems engineering with RPM-based distributions.
• Experience automating multi-tier infrastructure configurations.
• Experience with multiple configuration management systems is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization/container tech (Docker/Podman, Kubernetes, MicroVMs).
• Proficient in Python/Bash/Go for automation and tooling.
• Strong networking fundamentals and OSI/TCP concepts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, tune and secure mission-critical Linux systems across prod and non-prod.
• Lead end-to-end automation with IaC and centralized deployments.
• Develop tooling in Python/Bash/Go to automate tasks and collect telemetry.
• Manage LDAP/SSSD naming services and NFS/Autofs storage for HPC workloads.
