We are seeking a Sr. Linux/HPC Engineer to support multiple R&D sites for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency (NOAA). The candidate must operate effectively as part of a team supporting a mission-critical, multi-site R&D environment.
The role involves supporting scientists who develop models and simulations related to atmospheric, oceanic, and climate behaviors, focusing on societal-relevant model-building such as hurricane prediction and climate change analysis. The environment is complex, heterogeneous, and rapidly evolving. The Sr. Linux Engineer will lead and participate in maintaining and evolving this technical infrastructure, including supporting on-site HPC environments.
US citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance are mandatory. This position is remote.
