RedLine Performance Solutions - Sr. Linux/HPC Engineer

RedLine Performance Solutions (RedLine) has over 25 years of experience in Linux and HPC solutions engineering services. We maintain high standards for new hires to ensure excellence and staff retention. We are seeking a Sr. Linux/HPC Engineer to support multiple R&D sites for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency (NOAA). The candidate must operate effectively as part of a team supporting a mission-critical, multi-site R&D environment.

Customer scientists develop models and simulations to enhance understanding and prediction of atmospheric, oceanic, and climate behaviors, focusing on societal relevance such as hurricane research, seasonal forecasting, and climate change. The role involves leading and maintaining the technical infrastructure, including on-site HPC environments.

US citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance are mandatory. The primary location is at a customer site in Princeton, NJ. Remote candidates will be considered.

Required Skills:

1. 7+ years of Linux systems administration, preferably in Red Hat
2. Strong TCP/IP, IPv6, and dual-stack networking knowledge
3. Firewall experience
4. Experience managing enterprise storage
5. Proficiency with X.509 certificates
6. DNS administration experience
7. Knowledge of multi-factor authentication workflows
8. Excellent communication skills for coordination across remote teams
9. Organizational and problem-solving skills
10. Experience scripting in Bash, Perl, Python with Git
11. Bachelor's degree or equivalent; degree in CS or related preferred

Preferred Skills/Experience:

1. System engineering experience
